TNT Dance

I first walked into a Salsa club in 2001 as a fun activity with a postnatal group and I just had to come back. 6 months later I attended my first class in North London and after a year the instructor saw enough potential to ask me to assist him in class. In 2002, I fell pregnant once more but that did not stop me as I carried on dancing until 8 months in and started dancing again 2 weeks after giving birth. Salsa is extremely addictive and I started dancing as much as I could; sometimes 3 or 4 times a week and all around the country.

As with most of the TNT team my 10 year journey started with Cuban Salsa, followed by LA style and eventually finding a home in NY Style Salsa where I feel I can dance with complete freedom and uninhibited expression. I like to combine different dance styles with my current mood and the flow of the music and more importantly expressing my feelings to the person I am dancing with.

From secondary school to university I have taught Mathematics and, though not formally trained, I could understand the troubles that my peers were facing and found ways to help them. I love putting a smile on faces and seeing the pure joy when students finally understand something or that moment when it all comes together.

I love teaching and dancing and now do both at TNT.
